24 hours, decreasing in both sunspot area and number of spots. 12434 has
also decreased in magnetic complexity to be designated as a beta/D-type
sunspot group. However, the opposite polarity spots to the North of the

Solar activity is at low-to-moderate levels. A new region that is
currently rotating over the South East limb produced 2 low M-class
flares over the past 24 hours (an M1.1 on 17-Oct-2015 at 20:09 UT
and an M1.5 on 17-Oct-2015 at 20:35 UT), but remains too close to
the limb to determine an accurate magnetic complexity. In the same
period NOAA 12434 initially grew in spot area and developed into a
beta-gamma-delta/D-type sunspot group classification. However, the

in number of spots over the past 24 hours and is now classified
as a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group. This region has continued
to produce significant numbers of C-class flares since the last
message and two M1.1 events (one on 15-Oct-2015 at 23:27 UT and
the other on 16-Oct-2015 at 06:11 UT). Further C-class activity
is expected over the next 24 hours, with a good chance for more
low M-class flares.

Solar activity has been increasing over the past 48 hours due to the
arrival of a new region on the southeastern limb. The region is as-yet
unnumbered and its magnetic configuration is uncertain, but it has
already produced several C-class flares, including a C9.5 flare at
14:05 UT today. This shall be the new target region with further
intermediate level activity expected over the next 24 hours.

Solar activity continues at a very low level. The largest event was
a B4.3 at 10/11/16:01 UT produced by the target region (seems to
be unnumbered). The target region shows some mixed polarities
in its intermediate portion. We will continue to watch this unnumbered
region today. If possible, also include a new region NOAA 12431
(S17E66) within the field of view. Some low level events are likely
in the next 24 hours.
