MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2339 is mostly unchanged maintaining
its very large F-type/beta-gamma sunspot group. The magnetic
complexity is located within the trailing portion at N13E04.
2339 was the source of C-class activity in the past 24 hours.
The most interesting event since the last massage was a filament
eruption and flare located along the magnetic inversion line between
NOAA regions 2342 and 2343. The eruption was associated
with a C2.5 x-ray event at 04:09 UT. NOAA 2339 will continue to
produce C-class activity with an M-class event possible in the
next 24 hour period. A major flare is also possible but less likely
today.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low. NOAA region 12339 has displayed
some initial signs of entering decay phase, decreasing in spot area
while increasing in number of spots. The intermediate spots of NOAA
12339 have shown the beginnings of decay the most, but this region
has maintained a beta-gamma/F-type sunspot group designation. 12339
has remained the most flare-productive region, being the source of
5 C-class events since yesterday’s message. The MM#003 Major Flare
Watch will continue for a final 24 hours as this region retains the
potential for another isolated flare above the M5 level.

Solar activity continues at a low level. NOAA 12339 has undergone further
growth over the past 24 hours, increasing in both spot area and number of
spots. 12339 has continued to maintain a beta-gamma/F-type sunspot group
classification and is the most flare-productive region, being the source
of 4 C-class events since yesterday’s message. The Major Flare Watch will
continue for another 24 hours as the recent flux emergence indicates that
this region retains the potential for another flare above the M5 level.

The level of solar activity continues to be low. NOAA region 12339 has
grown further over the past 24 hours, increasing in both spot area and
number of spots. This region has maintained a beta-gamma/F-type sunspot
group classification. NOAA 12339 has produced 7 C-class events since
yesterday’s message, including the largest flare of the period (a C5.5
on 8-May-2015 at 03:56 UT). The Major Flare Watch will continue for 24
hours as this region retains the potential for another flare above the
M5 level.

Solar activity has returned to a low level. NOAA region 12339 has continued
to produce low-level flaring activity after the X2.7 flare on 5-May-2015 at
22:05 UT. This region has now been the source of 5 C-class events since the
MM#003 Major Flare Watch commenced yesterday, including the largest flare of
the period (a C4.3 on 7-May-2015 at 09:54 UT). NOAA 12339 is classified as a
beta-gamma/F-type sunspot group, appearing to have emerged new magnetic flux
over the past 24 hours. The Major Flare Watch will continue for 24-48 hours
as this region retains the potential for more flaring above the M5 level.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased significantly. The new region on the
northeast limb was the source of an X2.7 flare at 22:05 UT yesterday
and has been designated as NOAA 12339. The region appears to have a
beta-gamma-delta/E-type configuration and is showing signs of negative
polarity flux emergence within the positive core of the region. At
this time we are implementing a Major Flare Watch campaign due to the
increased probability of additional flaring greater than the M5 level.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. A new region that is rotating
over the North East limb has been the source of two low M-class events
(an M1.9 and an M1.2), but remains too close to the limb to accurately
determine its magnetic classification. NOAA 12335 has also produced an
M1.3 event in addition to the largest magnitude event since yesterday’s
message (an M2.6 flare on 5-May-2015 at 17:12 UT). 12335 has continued
to emerge new flux and is now classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot
group. Further C-class activity is expected in the next 24 hour period,
with a good chance for additional low M-class flares.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a low level. NOAA region 12335 continues
to be the largest spotted region on the visible disk. This region
has undergone minor flux emergence over the past 24 hours and is
classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group, although it appears to
exhibit magnetic polarity mixing in its intermediate portion (i.e.
a beta-gamma configuration). NOAA 12335 has maintained flaring at
the C-class level, producing 6 low C-class flares and the largest
event in the previous 24 hours (a C8.0 on 4-May-2015 at 00:43 UT).
Further C-class activity is expected in the next 24 hour period.

Solar activity is at low levels. The target region NOAA 12335 was the
source of 5 C1 and 4 high B-level events since the last message.
There was a QS-filament eruption at ~16:30 UT yesterday across the
southern hemisphere, which was associated with a two-ribbon flare and
a halo CME. NOAA 12335 maintains its D-type/beta-gamma magnetic
configuration, increasing its spot area and count. It continues to show
mixed polarities in its intermediate portion. Low level activity is expected
in the next 24 hours.

Solar activity has been at very low levels for the past 24 hours with X-ray
flux below the C-level. The target region NOAA 12335 is the only region
with sunspots on the visible solar disk. 12335 has a D-type/beta-gamma
magnetic configuration. It is showing some mixed polarities in its leading
portion. C-class activity is likely in the next 24-48 hours.
