MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2672 has an E-type/ beta-gamma sunspot
group with a possible small magnetic delta configuration
located within its trailing portion. 2672 was the source
of B- and C-class events since the last message. The
largest event was a C9.4 at 08/20/19:39 UT. 2672 also
produced a C5.9 at 08/21/03:16 UT. NOAA 2671
(F-type/beta-gamma) was the source of two minor B-class
events in the past 24 hours. B- and C-class events expected
with the chance of an isolated M-class from the target region
2672 and/or 2671 in the next 24 hour period

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The northeastern limb target region, now numbered
NOAA 2672, produced an isolated M1.1 event at
08/20/01:52 UT. It also produced a few B- and
C-class events in the past 24 hours. Former target
2671 (F-type/beta-gamma) was the source of a C7.0
event at 08/19/21:55 UT. 2672 is too close to the limb
to ascertain its magnetic configuration but it has an
unusual tilted magnetic inversion line and continues to
display bright surges. Both 2671 and 2672 have the
potential to produce B- and C-class events with the
chance of an M-class event in the next 24 hour period.

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region (NOAA 2671, N11E13) is maintaining its
large F-type/beta-gamma sunspot group but is somewhat
stable producing only two minor C-class events since the
last message. The largest was a C2.9 at 08/18/21:04 UT.
The most productive region in the past 24 hours was an
active region located about one half of a day beyond the
northeastern limb. This new region was the source of
multiple limb occulted C-class events. The largest was a
C4.4 at 08/18/20:02 UT. The region is dynamic displaying
bright H-alpha surges and spray-type prominences.
The target will switch to the east limb region today.
B- and C-class activity is still possible from 2671, but the
limb region is currently more active. B-and C-class events
probable with a chance for an isolated M-class in the next
24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on Aug 19 at 15:30 UT is:

NOAA 2671 (F-type/beta-gamma) has decayed losing its
weak magnetic delta configuration. 2671 was the source
of several B-class events since the last message. The
largest was a B9.5 at 08/18/08:52 UT. B-class activity
expected with the chance of a C-class event in the next
24 hours.There is also a very slight chance of an isolated
M-class event.

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 2671 is still slowly developing adding spot count
and area and magnetic complexity. 2671 was the source
of numerous B-class events since the last message.
2671 extended its sunspot group to an F-type group with
a beta-gamma-delta magnetic classification.
The weak delta configuration, located within the intermediate
portion of the region, is currently displaying an absence of bright
H-alpha emission over the umbrae. B-class activity expected,
C-class events probable with a slight chance of an isolated
M-class event in the next 24 hour period.

Target region NOAA 2671 continues in growth phase
adding sunspot area and sunspot count especially
within its intermediate and trailing portions. 2671 is
currently a large E-type/beta region with some minor
mixed polarities. 2671 was the source of numerous
B-type events in the past 24 hours. B- and C-class
events probable with the slight chance of an isolated
M-class event if growth continues to result in increased
magnetic complexity.

message. The largest was a C2.3 at 08/14/22:10 UT.
2671 is currently displaying dynamic bright H-alpha plage
along with a dark active filament and a beta magnetic
configuration with some minor mixed polarities.
Additional B- and C-class activity probable in the next 24
hour period.
The position of NOAA 2671 on August 15 at 14:45 UT is:

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2670 has completed west limb
passage. The target will switch to a new region rotating
over the northeastern limb that was the source of several
minor events since the last message. The largest was
a C2.7 at 08/14/10:46 UT. This region is displaying
dynamic bright H-alpha plage. The region's sunspot group
is too close to the limb to ascertain it's magnetic configuration.
B-class events expected with the chance of another
C-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on Aug 14 at 15:00 UT is:

Solar activity continues at very low levels. NOAA 12670 is now on the
western limb and has remained quiescent. It shall continue to be the
target region for a further 24 hours although no activity is expected
before west limb passage.

Quiet-Sun conditions continue. Alpha region NOAA 12670 has remained
quiescent as it approaches the western limb. It shall remain the
target region for a further 24 hours although no increase in activity
is expected.
