The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13806 has
emerged new magnetic flux since the last message, growing in sunspot
area and number of spots with a corresponding increase in complexity
to be classed as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group. NOAA 13807
(a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group) produced four C-class flares in
the period. A region currently located beyond the South East limb
also produced C-class flares and an M1.2 on 31-Aug-2024 at 08:52 UT,
while target NOAA 13806 produced three M-class flares - an M1.1,
M1.2, and M1.8 on 31-Aug-2024 at 00:38 UT, 02:26 UT, and 12:50 UT,
respectively. Additional C-class activity is expected over the next
24-hour period, with a strong chance of a mid-M-class flare.

Solar activity is at a moderate level. Target region NOAA 13806 has grown in
terms of spot area and number of spots since the last message, although this
is likely related to it rotating onto the visible disk and being affected by
foreshortening to a lesser degree rather than undergoing significant magnetic
flux emergence. However, NOAA 13806 has remained classified as a beta/D-type
sunspot group. This region produced C-class activity in the period along with
the only two M-class flares - an M1.2 and M3.8 on 30-Aug-2024 at 02:00 UT and
12:13 UT, respectively. This region will be monitored closely for a potential
Major Flare Watch if activity increases or a delta-spot configuration develops.
C-class flares are expected in the following 24 hours, with a strong chance
for more M-class flares.

The level of solar activity is low. Target region NOAA 13796 has continued
to decay in the past 24 hours, decreasing in spot area and number of spots.
NOAA 13796 again remained classified as a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group,
and produced one C-class flare in the period - a C5.6 on 29-Aug-2024 at
05:26 UT. The South East limb region mentioned in yesterday's message has
now been designated as NOAA 13806 (a beta/D-type sunspot group) and once
again was the source of the largest magnitude flare in the period - a C7.0
on 29-Aug-2024 at 04:07 UT. Note that the Mt Wilson magnetic and McIntosh
white-light structural classifications for NOAA 13806 are still affected
by its proximity to the limb at the start of the UT day. This region seems
to be reasonably mature with its main leading and trailing polarity spots
being quite close together, so NOAA 13806 becomes the new target. Further
C-class activity is expected over the following 24-hour period, with a
chance for a low M-class flare.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. Target region NOAA 13796 was decayed
since the last message, decreasing in spot area and number of spots as
it rotates towards the South West limb but remaining classified as a
beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group. NOAA 13796 produced one C-class flare
in the period (a C3.8 on 28-Aug-2024 at 01:24 UT), while the largest
magnitude flare was a C5.0 on 28-Aug-2024 at 14:50 UT that appears to
have originated from a new region beyond the South East limb. At this
time we terminate the MM#003 Major Flare Watch, although the target
stays as NOAA 13796. More C-class flares are expected in the next 24
hours, with a chance for a low M-class flare.

was confirmed as having grown in spot area since the last message,
continuing to be classified as a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group.
NOAA 13796 have remained the most flare-productive region on disk,
being the source of two C-class flares and the only M-class flare
in the period - an M1.1 on 27-Aug-2024 at 09:30 UT. The current
MM#003 Major Flare Watch will continue on NOAA 13796 for the next
24 hours. C-class activity is expected over the following 24-hour
period, with a strong chance for additional M-class flares.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a moderate level. Target region NOAA 13800
has retained a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group classification,
but some of its intermediate spot distribution has simplified.
NOAA 13800 has only produced three C-class flares in the period,
the largest being a C6.6 flare on 25-Aug-2024 at 17:23 UT. The
previous target NOAA 13796 also evolved somewhat, retaining its
classification as a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group but showing
some flux emergence in its intermediate spots late in the period.
NOAA 13796 has increased in flare productivity, being the source
of several C-class flares and the largest magnitude flare since
the last message - an M1.4 on 26-Aug-2024 at 11:28 UT. The MM#003
Major Flare Watch will remain in effect, but the target switches
to NOAA 13796 for the following 24 hour period. C-class activity
is expected in the next 24 hours, with a good chance for further
M-class activity.

13800 remains classified as a beta-gamma region and has a relatively
small area. However, this region still shows some signs of sunspot
dynamism. The Major Flare Watch will be extended for what may be a
final 24 hours. Further C-class activity is expected, with a chance
for additional M-class activity in the next 24 hours.

message. A number of flares were produced over the last 24 hours, the
largest being an M5.1 from NOAA 13800 at 20:08 UT yesterday. NOAA
13796 has remained relatively quiet since the last message, producing
an M1.6 at 00:02 UT today. NOAA 13800 has been newly classified as a
beta-gamma type region. The Major Flare Watch will be extended and the
target region will switch to NOAA 13800 as this region has produced a
number of M-class flares in the last 24 hours. Further M-class
activity is possible with a chance for an additional >M5 event in the
next 24 hours.

produced since the last message, the largest being an M3.5 from a
newly numbered active region, NOAA 13801 at 03:31 UT today. NOAA 13796
remains classified as a beta-gamma type region but has shown a slight
reduction in area. The Major Flare Watch will be extended for now with
NOAA 13796 as the target region, attention should also be paid to NOAA
13801 as it develops further. Further C-class activity is expected,
with a slight chance for an isolated >M5 event in the next 24-48
hours.

flares were produced over the last 24 hours, the largest being an M5.1
from NOAA 13796 at 21:59 UT yesterday. NOAA 13796 is currently
classified as a beta-gamma region with an area of 350 μh. At this time
we are initiating a Major Flare Watch with NOAA 13796 as the target
region. Further C- and M-class activity is expected with a chance for
an additional >M5 flare in the next 24-48 hours.
