Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has remained at an intermediate level since the last message. The target region produced several partially-occulted flares, the largest being a C9.0 at 19:09 UT yesterday. The target region is now partly visible on the southeast limb and continues to traverse onto the solar disk, but remains unnumbered. This region also continues to show significant flux and numerous closed loops in the upper solar atmosphere. The Major Flare Watch will continue while the target region moves further onto the solar disk. Isolated >M5 activity is possible in the next 24-48 hours.
The approximate position of the target region on 28-May-2024 at 11:30 UT is:
S18E81, (-888", -290")
