Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity increased in the past 24 hours. An isolated M1.8 flare (at 11:45 UT on March 5) was produced by NOAA 14016 (S26E30) that was mentioned in yesterday's message. 14016 has been designated as a beta-gamma/C-type configuration but with a small sunspot area. The target region NOAA 14012 only produced two low C-class flares during the period. It retains a complex beta-gamma/E-type configuration but increases the sunspot area and number of spots. Today we will continue to watch NOAA 14012. Further C-class activities are expected in the following 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14012 on March 6 at 08:30 UT is:
S12E14 (-229", -83")
