Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a moderate level. The largest event since the last message was an M1.4 flare at 22:58 UT yesterday produced by the previous limb region. This region also produced an M1.0 flare plus eight C-class flares, numbered as NOAA 13839. It has been classified as an alpha/H-type configuration but its proximity to the limb hampers accurate classification. 13839 should become the new target due to its current level of flaring. Yesterday’s target region NOAA 13836 (S10E24, beta-gamma/D-type) only shows some brightenings in EUV images. Further C-class activities are expected, with a chance of an isolated low-M flare in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13839 on 27-Sep-2024 at 11:30 UT is:
S14E66 (-849", -275")
