Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has further increased since the last message. NOAA 13514 produced a number of significant flares in the last 24 hours, the largest being an X2.8 at 16:47 UT yesterday. NOAA 13514 is now classified as a beta-delta type region and has shown a substantial increase in both area and number of spots. This region continues to show dynamic sunspot behaviour. The Major Flare Watch will be extended for a further 24 hours, with a chance for additional >M5 activity.
The position of NOAA 13514 on 15-Dec-2023 at 12:30 UT is:
N05W57, (816", 93")
