Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is very low. Target region NOAA 12926 was confirmed as a beta/C-type sunspot group but has remained flare quiet since the last message. Another small flux region is in the process of emerging spots in the southern hemisphere close to central meridian, but has not yet produced any flaring activity. The most flare-active location has been a limb-occulted region over the North East limb that was the source of two B-class flares (an impulsive B7.2 on 12-Jan-2022 at 04:13 UT and a CME-associated long-duration B9.1 on 12-Jan-2022 at 04:36 UT). This limb-crossing location will become the new target with additional B-class activity expected in the next 24 hours and a chance for C-class flaring.
The approximate position of this region on 12-Jan-2022 at 23:00 UT is:
N32E90 , ( -827", 515" )
