Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. The target region NOAA 13191 has grown slightly in spot area in its interior since the last message and is designated as a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group. This region has continued to produce flaring, being the source of several mid-to-high C-class events, the largest being a C8.3 on 15-Jan-2023 at 12:07 UT. The largest magnitude flare in the period came from NOAA 13190 (an M4.9 on 15-Jan-2023 at 14:16 UT), but the target will remain on NOAA 13191 - this is due to the proximity of a newly emerging sunspot region to the North East of NOAA 13191 that has also produced C-class events. Further C-class activity is expected in the following 24-hour period, with a good chance for more M-class flares.
The position of NOAA 13191 on 16-Jan-2023 at 16:30 UT is:
N12E31 , ( -491", 270" )
