Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased significantly since the last message. The target region NOAA 12860, now along the central meridian, has produced several C-class flares and an M4.7 flare is currently in progress. We are therefore implementing a Major Flare Watch campaign at this time. The region has increased in size and is now classified as a beta-gamma region. Further intermediate level activity expected over the next 24 hours with chance for a >M5 flare.
The position of NOAA 12860 on 28-Aug-2021 at 03:30 UT is:
S28E01, ( -14", -548" )
