MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
A strong EFR (NOAA 1149) located just south of NOAA 1147 was the source of several C-class events. The largest was a C3.3 at 01/21/04:14 UT. This flare event was observed in both 1149 and 1147. 1149 emerged late on January 20 and developed rapidly into a complex beta-gamma magnetic configuration. C-class events expected today with a slight chance of an isolated M-class event if 1149 continues to develop.
The position of NOAA 1149 on January 21 at 15:45 UT is: N19W01 (Solar X = 016", Solar Y = 400")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
