Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is extremely low. Target region NOAA 12857 developed penumbrae on leading and trailing spots to become classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group at the beginning of the UT day while it continued to produce A-class activity. However, since then NOAA 12857 has decayed slightly and no longer has any pores/spots present in its intermediate portion. B-class activity is probable over the following 24-hour period.
The position of NOAA 12857 on 17-Aug-2021 at 20:00 UT is:
N17W38 , ( 559", 192" )
