Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. Target region NOAA 12936 showed signs of decay but it has remained as a beta/E-type sunspot classification. This region has continued to flare since the last message, producing six low C-class flares including the largest of the period (a C2.6 on 4-Feb-2022 at 21:42 UT). Although NOAA 12936 is now rotating over the North West limb, it will remain the target for the next 24 hours while its high-lying loops remain visible. Additional C-class flares are expected in the following 24-hour period, with a small chance for a low M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 12936 on 5-Feb-2022 at 22:00 UT is:
N17W87 , ( 929", 288" )
