MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region, NOAA 1153, continued in strong growth phase yesterday developing a beta-gamma magnetic classification later in the day. 1153 was the source of an isolated impulsive M1.9 event at 02/09/01:28 UT. 1153 also produced 3 C-class events. The region is now too close to the west limb to ascertain its current magnetic configuration but appears to continue to develop displaying bright plage and a possible arch-type-filament system. Another M-class event is possible before west limb passage.
The position of NOAA 1153 on February 09 at 16:00 UT is: N15W80 (Solar X = 925", Solar Y = 268")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
