Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. NOAA 11944 has continued to decay over the past 24 hours, decreasing in both spot area and number of spots. This region has maintained a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group classification, while the region's decay has further weakened its delta spot configuration. NOAA 11944 has returned to producing flare activity, being the source of four C-class flares in the past 24 hours (the largest being a C6.5 on 11-Jan-2014 at 13:00 UT). More C-class activity is expected over the next 24 hours, with a chance for a flare >M5 still possible from 11944.
The position of NOAA 11944 on 11-Jan-2014 at 14:30 UT is:
S09W51, ( 751", -108" )
