Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be at a low level since the last message.
The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C1.1 flare at 10:08 UT
today(4/11) produced by NOAA 14416. This is a new region that
emerged in the West of NOAA 14414 yesterday, and is crossing the
North central meridian today. NOAA 14416 is currently classified as
a beta-type, but showing a sign of further flux emergence adding new
sunspots. Yesterday's target, NOAA 14414 has been stable with no
flare activity in the last 12 hours.
Today we will switch the target to NOAA 14416 to monitor its growth.
Additional C class activities are expected.

15:30 UT is: N19E05 (-94", 409").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been very low since the last message. The target
region, NOAA 14409 produced several mid-to-high B class flares
during its West limb transit. The largest event in the past 24 hours
was a B7.6 flare at 12:39 UT today(4/10) from NOAA 14414. While
this region lost one of its leading (positive polarity) sunspots, a few
tiny spots appeared at its trailing (negative) polarity region, where
the B7.6 event came from.
Today we will switch the target to NOAA 14414 to observe its trailing
polarity region. High-B to C class events are expected.

16:00 UT is: N17E45 (-649", 346").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a low-to-moderate level since the last
message. The target region NOAA 14409, approaching the West limb,
produced an M1.1 flare at 8:23 UT today(4/9), in addition to several
high-B to low-C class events in the last 24 hours. NOAA 14414,
rotated from the Northeastern limb produced a C8.7 flare yesterday,
but keeps quiet for more than 10 hours.
Today NOAA 14409 shall remain the target while it undergoes West-limb
transit. Additional high-B to C class flares are expected, with a
chance of another M-class event.
The position of the target in NOAA 14409 on 9-April-2026 at
16:00 UT is: N01W79 (940", 38").

Solar activity remains at a low level since the last message.
The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C5.7 flare at 18:15 UT
yesterday(4/7) produced by the target region NOAA 14409.
This region has undergone flux emergence at the trailing portion
yesterday to have produced a few high-B to C class events.
There is a region rotated from the Northeast limb, which was now
assigned the number NOAA 14414. This region has been another
source of flare activity since yesterday but the magnitude of these
flares are currently low-C level.
Today we will continue to observe NOAA 14409. Additional high-B to
C class events are expected from the area of trailing sunspots.
The position of the target in NOAA 14409 on 8-April-2026 at
16:00 UT is: N00W66 (875", 55").

The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C2.4 flare at 13:32 UT
today (4/7) produced by the target region NOAA 14409.
This region also produced a few high-B class flares from the East
side of the leading sunspot that increased in size due to merging.
Today we will continue to observe NOAA 14409. Additional high-B to C
class events are expected from the East side of the leading sunspot.

16:00 UT is: N00W56 (801", 69").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has declined to a low level. The largest event since
the last message was a C2.8 flare at 23:25 UT yesterday(4/6)
produced by the target region NOAA 14409. Although this region is
almost the only source of the flares in the period, NOAA 14409 has
reduced magnetic complexity to a beta type and is losing sunspots in
the trailing area.
Today we will end the Major Flare Watch campaign but continue to
observe NOAA 14409 as the default target. Additional high-B to C
class events are expected from the area of leading sunspots.

16:00 UT is: N00W41 (630", 87").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has decreased to a moderate level since the last message.
The largest event during the period was an M1.0 flare at 22:54 UT
yesterday from the target region NOAA 14409 (N02W22). This region
also produced more than ten C-class flares in the period. 14409 retains
a beta-gamma magnetic configuration, and its leading sunspots continue
to show signs of flux emergence and dynamic motions. Today, we will
continue the Major Flare Watch campaign for NOAA 14409 for another
24 hours. Further C-class activity is expected, with a chance of additional
low-M flares and an isolated >M5 flare within the next 24 hours.

Solar activity has increased to a high level since the last message.
The largest event in the period was an M7.5 flare at 01:07 UT today
from the target region NOAA 14409 (N02W08; see the SSW Latest

This region has remained the dominant source of
activity on the visible disk, producing numerous C-class flares and
two additional low-M flares (M1.7 and M1.2) during the period. 14409
retains a beta-gamma configuration, and its leading sunspots are
showing signs of shearing and ongoing flux emergence. At this time,
we are implementing a Major Flare Watch with NOAA 14409. Further
C-class activity is expected, with a chance of an isolated >M5 flare
over the next 24–48 hours.

The largest event during the period was an M3.5 flare from NOAA 14404
(N13W28, beta/C-type). The target region, NOAA 14409 (N02E06),
produced more than ten C-class flares and two M1.3 flares during the
period. 14409 has increased in magnetic complexity and is now classified
as beta-gamma/D-type. Today, NOAA 14409 will remain the target region.
Additional C-class flares are expected, with a chance of additional low-M
flares over the next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased since the last message. The largest event
in the period was a C8.1 flare at 19:47 UT yesterday from NOAA 14409
(N02E17, beta/D-type). This region also produced seven additional
C-class flares during the period, including two ~C5 flares. Yesterday’s
target, NOAA 14405 (beta-gamma, E-type), produced only a few high
B-class flares during the period. Today, the target should be switched
to NOAA 14409. Additional C-class activity is expected over the next
24 hours.
