Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be very low since the last message.
The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C1.2 flare at 11:52 UT
today (8/4) from a small region rotated from the Southeast limb
at ~18 degrees earlier today. This region appears to be accompanied
by a tiny sunspot and produced another low-C class flare at 14:15 UT.
However, it is still uncertain whether this region will grow further.
The target region, NOAA 14498 only produced a high-B class event
in the past 24 hours. This region is showing signs of decay, but
remains to be the most magnetically complex region on the disk.
Therefore we will continue to observe NOAA 14498 in the next 24
hours, at the small sunspot in the Southeast of the main sunspot,
expecting the activities of low-C class.
The position of the target in NOAA 14498 on 4-August-2026 at
16:00 UT is: N13W23 (369", 131").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been very low since the last message. The largest
event in the past 24 hours was a C1.4 flare at 11:28 UT today (8/3)
from the target region, NOAA 14498. This region was slightly reduced
in size but maintains its magnetic complexity of a beta-delta type.
Today, we will continue to observe NOAA 14498 on the small sunspot
with mixed polarity, that is located in the Southeast of the main
(positive polarity) sunspot. Additional C class events are expected.
The position of the target in NOAA 14498 on 3-August-2026 at
15:30 UT is: N12W09 (159", 117").

Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message.
The largest event during the period was a C6.3 flare at 05:19
UT today from NOAA 14492 near the west limb (N16W88; see
the SSW Latest Events entry

This region also produced several
other C-class flares, including C4.0 and C2.5 events, but has
rotated out of view from Earth. The target region NOAA 14498
(N14E03) produced no significant flares during the period, but
has developed into a beta-delta magnetic configuration, with an
increase in spot number. Nearby NOAA 14500 (N18E07, beta/
D-type) has also shown slight growth. Today we will continue to
watch NOAA 14498 as the target region. If possible, please also
include 14500 in your field of view. Further C-class activity is
expected, with only a slight chance of an isolated low M-class
flare in the next 24 hours.

Solar activity has decreased to a low level since the last message.
Yesterday's target region, NOAA 14499 (N05W15), produced two
low C-class flares during the period, a C1.6 and a C1.0. This region
has now reduced in magnetic complexity and is currently classified
as a beta type region. The largest event during the period was a
C1.8 flare at 18:53 UT yesterday from NOAA 14498 (N14E15, beta
-gamma/D-type). 14498 also produced another C1.1 flare during
the period. NOAA 14500 (N18E21, beta/C-type) is moving closer
to 14498, and the coronal magnetic connectivity between the two
regions is becoming stronger and more complex. Therefore, today
we will switch the target region back to NOAA 14498. If possible,
please also include 14500 in your field of view. Further C-class
activity is expected, with only a slight chance of an isolated low
M-class flare in the next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to a low-to-moderate level since the last
message. Yesterday's target region NOAA 14498 produced only a C3.1
flare during the period. The largest event was an M1.9 flare at 15:53 UT
yesterday from NOAA 14492 near the west limb. NOAA 14499 (N04W02)
produced six low C-class flares during the period, including a C3.9 flare.
This region has developed into a beta-gamma-delta magnetic configuration,
with increases in both sunspot area and spot number. Today the target
region will switch to NOAA 14499. Further C-class activity is expected,
with a chance of additional low-level M-class activity in the next 24 hours.

Solar activity has remained at a low level since the last message.
The largest event during the period was a C3.9 flare at 05:44 UT
today from the target region NOAA 14498 (N14E43). 14498 has
developed into a beta-gamma magnetic configuration and produced
several other low C-class flares during the period. The area east of
its main sunspot shows clear signs of magnetic flux emergence and
mixed polarities. Therefore, today we will continue to watch NOAA
14498 as the target region. The emerging region mentioned yesterday
has now been designated NOAA 14500 (N18E51, beta/C-type). This
region also produced a few low C-class flares during the period. If
possible, please also include 14500 in your field of view. Further C-class
activity is expected, with only a slight chance of an isolated low M-class
flare in the next 24 hours.

Yesterday's target region, NOAA 14494 (S03W35, beta/C-type),
produced no significant flares and continued to weaken. The largest
event during the period was a C1.9 flare at 05:31 UT today from
NOAA 14498 (N14E55, beta/C-type). This region also produced
several other low C-class flares and has developed rapidly, with
increases in both sunspot area and spot number. 14498 is showing
dynamic sunspot activity, and a new active region is emerging to its
northeast. Today, the target region will switch to NOAA 14498. If
possible, please also include the emerging region northeast of 14498
in your field of view. Further C-class activity is expected, with only a
slight chance of an isolated low M-class flare in the next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has decreased to a moderate-to-low level since the last
message. The largest event during the period was a C5.2 flare at 03:08
UT today from the target region NOAA 14494 (S04W21, alpha/H-type).
This region also produced several other C-class flares during the period,
including C3.6 and C3.5 events, but has continued to decay, decreasing
in both sunspot number and sunspot area. NOAA 14492 (N16W42) is
currently classified as a beta-gamma-delta region but did not produce
any significant flares during the period. Today we will continue to watch
NOAA 14494 as the target region. Further C-class activity is expected,
with only a slight chance of an isolated low M-class flare in the next 24
hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to a moderate level since the last message.
Yesterday's target region, NOAA 14493 (N05W80), produced only a C1.6
flare during the period and is approaching the western limb. The largest
event during the period was an M3.2 flare at 15:17 UT yesterday from
NOAA 14494 (S04W09), followed by an M1.0 flare at 02:32 UT today.
Both M-class flares occurred on the western side of the leading sunspot
in NOAA 14494. Today, the target will switch to NOAA 14494, although
this region has lost its delta configuration and is showing some decay.
NOAA 14495 (S02W20, beta/D-type), located near NOAA 14494, also
produced several C-class flares during the period, including a C4.2 flare.
If possible, please also include this region in your field of view. Further
C-class activity is expected, with a chance of additional low-level M-class
activity in the next 24 hours.

Solar activity remains at a low level. The largest flare produced in the
last 24 hours was a C4.2 from newly numbered active region NOAA 14495 at
07:25 UT today. NOAA 14493 has remained relatively quiet since the last
message as it nears the western limb. Additionally, NOAA 14494 has remained
quiet, however this region is in proximity to NOAA 14495 and may show
further development. NOAA 14493 will remain the target region for what may
be the last 24 hours while it is still fully in view. Further C-class
activity is expected.
