The level of solar activity is very low. The target region has rotated
further on disk. Although the main leading polarity spot can be seen to
be displaying a light bridge, this region remains too close to the limb
for accurate classification. The target region has continued to produce
B-class flares since the last message, the largest of which was a B4.9
on 21-Aug-2021 at 11:28 UT. Further B-class activity is expected in the
following 24-hour period, with a chance for additional C-class flares.

Solar activity is at a low level. Yesterday's target region has begun
rotating over the North East limb with its main leading polarity spot
coming into view. This region has produced multiple B-class and three
C-class events since the last message, including the largest flare of
the period (a C3.0 on 20-Aug-2021 at 15:50 UT), all of which are still
footpoint occulted by the North East limb. Further C-class flares are
expected over the next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is extremely low. Yesterday's target
region has been designated as NOAA 12858 and was classified as a
beta/C-type sunspot group, but only produced A-class activity. A
region lies beyond the North East limb but its mid-to-high-lying
loops are currently visible. This new region produced the largest
flare since the last message (a B2.1 on 19-Aug-2021 at 15:49 UT),
but this was clearly a footpoint occulted event. This new region
becomes the target, and additional B-class flares are expected in
the following 24-hour period.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at an extremely low level. Target region NOAA 12857 has
decayed in the past 24 hours becoming classified as a beta/B-type sunspot
group at the start of the UT day but it has now lost its leading spots. A
new flux region has emerged close to the central meridian since the last
message. This new region has formed spots in both polarities with neither
showing penumbrae (expected to be classed as a beta/B-type sunspot group),
but it has already produced 2 B-class flares (including the largest event
of the period, a B2.8 flare on 18-Aug-2021 at 19:58 UT). The new magnetic
flux region becomes the target, with further B-class flares expected over
the next 24 hours.

The level of solar activity is extremely low. Target region NOAA 12857
developed penumbrae on leading and trailing spots to become classified
as a beta/D-type sunspot group at the beginning of the UT day while it
continued to produce A-class activity. However, since then NOAA 12857
has decayed slightly and no longer has any pores/spots present in its
intermediate portion. B-class activity is probable over the following
24-hour period.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a very low level. Target region NOAA 12853 has
decayed further and has shown no signs of flaring activity since the
last message. NOAA 12857 has the most substantial spots on the disk
and is classified as a beta/B-type sunspot group at the start of the
UT day, although it has consolidated some of its intermediate pores
into a spot. NOAA 12857 has been the source of A-class activity and
two B-class flares that were the largest magnitude events since the
last message (a B3.4 flare and a B1.3 flare on 16-Aug-2021 at 07:05
UT and 09:15 UT, respectively). This region becomes the new target,
with B-class activity expected in the next 24 hours.

C1.4 event at 08/13/21:08 UT. The filament located along
the region's main magnetic inversion line continues to
sometimes show an active phase. B-class events are
possible with a slight chance of an isolated C-class
event in the next 24 hour period.

event at 08/13/16:23 UT. 2853 has numerous tiny
pores. The filament located along the region's main
magnetic inversion line continues to show an activated

Dear Collaborators,
The only spot on the visible solar disk today is a
single A-type/alpha located at N13E51. The filament
located along and south of the main magnetic
inversion line in NOAA 2853 was active for several
hours and the southern portion disappeared by
13:30 UT today. The filament may reappear in the
same position after awhile. 2853 was the source
of several minor A-type events and a B1.1 event
at 08/12/04:40 UT. Minor A- and B-class events
possible in the next 24 hour period.
