Solar activity has grown to a high level. The largest event
since the last message was an M8.2 flare at 23:31 UT
yesterday from the target region NOAA 14100. It retained a
beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group and increased in sunspot
area to 440 μh. The target shall remain with NOAA 14100,
although we are issuing a Major Flare Watch alert at this time
due to the increased possibility of another >M5 flare within the
next 24-48 hours.

Solar activity has reached a moderate level. The largest event
since the last message was an M3.4 flare at 05:56 UT produced
by the target region NOAA 14100. This region also produced five
~C1 plus two high-B flares, and was the most productive in the
period. It retained a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group and emerged
new positive magnetic fluxes in its leading portion. Further C-class
activity is expected, with a chance for another low-M flare in the
next 24-hour period.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to an intermediate level, due to a
C7.0 flare at 02:51 UT today from the target region NOAA 14100.
This region also produced two ~C1 and a high-B flares since
the last message. 14100 has continued to grow in spot maturity,
becoming a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group, with the emergence
of new visible magnetic fluxes surrounding its main spots. NOAA
14100 shall continue as the target region. Besides, NOAA 14099
(beta-delta/D-type, S13E25) also produced four low-C flares
yesterday. Further C-class activity is expected, with a low-M flare
likely in the following 24-hour period.

Solar activity has been at a low level since the last message.
Most low-C flares came from NOAAs 14099 and 14100. NOAA
14099 (beta/D-type, S13E34) was the source of five ~C1-C2 flares.
NOAA 14100 produced three ones, with the largest being a C2.1
at 01:18 UT today. This region has emerged new sunspots and
has been classified as a beta/E-type magnetic configuration. Today
we shall end the Major Flare Watch campaign, and the default
target shall switch to NOAA 14100, due to its higher magnetic
complexity. Yesterday’s target region has already rotated beyond
the west limb. More C-class activity is expected in the next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has dropped to a moderate level. The target region
NOAA 14098 produced the largest flare in the period - an M2.9
at 12:50 UT yesterday. It was also the source of three low-to-high
C-class flares. 14098 retained a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot
group but showed signs of decay in its following portion. Today,
the Major Flare Watch will be extended for the last 24 hours with
NOAA 14098. Note that NOAA 14100 (beta/D-type, N07E59) also
produced an M1.4 at 13:27 UT yesterday, plus several C-class
flares as it rotated on disk. Additional low-M activity is likely, with
a slight chance for an isolated >M5 flare in the coming 24 hours.

since the last message was an M8.9 flare at 16:18 UT yesterday
from the target region NOAA 14098. This region also produced
four low-to-mid C-class flares. 14098 has grown in spot maturity
to display larger penumbrae on its leading portion, changing it to
a beta-gamma/D-type magnetic configuration. Today the Major
Flare Watch will remain in effect with NOAA 14098. More low-M
activity is probable, with a chance for a >M5 flare in the following
24 hours.

Solar activity has been elevated to a high level due to a series of
flares from the target region, NOAA 14098. This region produced an
X1.1 flare at 01:46 UT today (5/25) in addition to 3 M class and
several C class flares in the last 24 hours. At this time, we will
implement the Major Flare Watch campaign with NOAA 14098.
We will continue to observe the area of leading (negative polarity)
sunspots, expecting additional major flares larger than M5.

15:30 UT is: S04W53 (760", -67").

Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message.
A region emerged in the Southwest quadrant on 5/22 was given a number
as NOAA 14098. This region produced two mid-C class flares (C5.9 at
10:27 UT and C6.0 at 12:30 UT both on 5/24), in addition to 6 high-B to
low-C flares in the recent 10 hours.
Yesterday's target, NOAA 14095 completed the Southwest limb passage,
with only B8.5 flare produced.
Today we will switch our default target to NOAA 14098 on the area of
leading (negative polarity) sunspots where 2 mid-C class flares from.
Additional C class flares are expected with a chance of a low-M class event.

15:00 UT is: S04W38 (586", -57").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be at a low level, except for some
prominence activity over the Northeast limb. The largest X-ray
event in the last 24 hours was a C2.5 flare at 22:32 UT yesterday
(5/22) from the target region, NOAA 14095, which is now classified
as a beta-gamma type.
There are a few regions on the disk undergoing new flux emergence:
NOAA 14097 in the Southeast quadrant, an unnumbered region emerged
at Northeast of 14090. NOAA 14094 is also adding new flux. However,
it is still uncertain if they grow further or fade away soon.
Today we will continue to observe NOAA 14095 going over the
Southwest limb, expecting additional C class events.

15:30 UT is: S05W79 (927", -86").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been low since the last message. The largest
event in the last 24 hours was a C2.6 flare at 18:04 UT yesterday
(5/21) from NOAA 14095. approaching the Southwest limb. Yesterday's
target, NOAA 14093 did not produce flares since the last message,
with the small sunspots located at the trailing area disappeared.
NOAA 14095 is a region that emerged on 5/20 in the Southwest
quadrant. This region started to show high-B to low-C class flare activity
since yesterday and is adding new sunspots in its Southwest vicinity.
In the next 24 hours we will observe NOAA 14095 as the default target,
expecting additional C class activities.

16:00 UT is: S06W67 (867", -88").
