The target region NOAA 12799 was classified as a beta/D-type region
and produced a B1.6 flare in the past 24 hours. 12799 is rotating over
the west limb and fragmenting its sunspots. It seems to enter the decay
phase. Low B-class activities are still likely in the next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Yesterday's target NOAA 12798 has decayed to a plage region.
Today the target will switch to NOAA 12799. 12799 has produced
5 B-class flares since the last message, with the largest one being
a B5.0 at 06:31 UT today. This region is rotating to the west limb
and emerging positive and negative fluxes. More B-class flares are
expected, with a light chance of a low C-class activity in the next
24 hours.

The target region NOAA 12798 produced a B3.0 flare at 23:34 UT on
January 23 (the only B-class event in the past 24 hours). 12798 has
decayed to an alpha/A-type region. Only minor activities are likely in
the following 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is very low. The largest X-ray event
was a B1.3 at 00:02 UT today (also the only B-class event in
the past 24 hours), produced by the target region NOAA 12798.
There are three regions with sunspots in the visible solar disk
now, with the other two regions NOAA 12797 (alpha/H-type,
S18W01) and 12799 (beta/B-type, N21W40) being flare quiet.
The target NOAA 12798 remains its beta/C-type configuration
and has entered the decay phase. Low B-class activities are still
possible in the next 24 hours.

The target region NOAA 12798 (the original trailing spots of
NOAA 12797) has produced two B1 flares since the last message.
12798 is remaining its beta/C-type configuration with slightly
increasing in number of spots but decreasing in sunspot area.
Additional low B-class activities are likely in the next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is very low. The spots that comprised
NOAA region 12797 have been re-designated into 2 separate regions.
The leading single-polarity spot group retains number NOAA 12797
(classified as an alpha/H-type sunspot group), while the trailing
bipolar spot group has been assigned the new number NOAA 12798
(classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group). The C1.4 flare from
NOAA 12797 that was mentioned in yesterday's message was actually
associated with the magnetic flux that is now designated as NOAA
12798, and this region has continued to produce B-class activity
(the largest being a B5.4 flare on 21-Jan-2021 at 09:47 UT). More
B-class activity is expected over the following 24-hour period,
with a small chance of an isolated low C-class flare.

Solar activity is at a low level. NOAA 12797 has maintained both
number of sunspots and spot area coverage since the last message,
remaining classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group. NOAA 12797
was again the source of B-class activity over the past 24 hours,
as well as a C1.4 flare on 20-Jan-2021 at 12:35 UT. Additional
C-class activity is probable in the next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
The Max Millennium Program now ceases its support of the coordination of
observations for the PSP 7th perihelion passage. PSP is expected to cross
the Heliospheric Current Sheet once again in the next few hours, with its
model-consensus magnetic-footpoint jumping to beyond the West limb as seen
from Earth.
The level of solar activity is very low. NOAA 12797 has neither grown nor
decayed significantly since the last message and this region was classed
as a beta/C-type sunspot group at the start of the UT day, but the spots
in its trailing polarity flux may be developing penumbrae. NOAA 12797 did
produce some B-class activity in the past 24 hours as well as a C1.0 flare
on 19-Jan-2021 at 17:46 UT. Additional C-class activity is possible in the
following 24-hour period.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at an extremely low level. NOAA 12796 completed
its decay to plage since the last message. The spotted region that has
rotated over the South East limb is now designated as NOAA 12797. This
region appears to only have spots in its leading polarity, resulting in
an alpha/H-type sunspot group classification. NOAA 12797 produced low-
level activity with two B-class flares (the largest being a B1.2 flare
on 17-Jan-2021 at 23:54 UT). No change in flaring activity is expected
in the next 24 hours. The Max Millennium Program continues supporting
the coordination of observations for PSP's 7th perihelion passage. The
target continues to follow the model-consensus PSP magnetic-footpoint
that is located in the South West quadrant.

Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity remains extremely low. NOAA 12796 produced
the only flare since the last message, a B2.8 event on 17-Jan-2021 at
13:18 UT. However, NOAA 12796 was classified as a beta/B-type sunspot
group at the start of the UT day and has significantly decayed since
then, having lost almost all spot coverage. Another spotted region is
rotating over the South East limb, the return of the region previously
designated as NOAA 12795. This currently unnumbered region produced two
A-class flares during its limb transit (likely B-class due to footpoint
occultation), but appears to have a simple beta magnetic configuration
so there is no change in flaring activity expected in the following 24
hours. The Max Millennium Program continues supporting the coordination
of observations for the 7th perihelion passage of PSP, where perihelion
occurs today. The target will continue tracking the PSP model-consensus
magnetic-footpoint that is now located in the South West quadrant after
PSP's crossing of the Heliospheric Current Sheet early today.
The approximate position of this region on 17-Jan-2021 at 21:30 UT is:
S27W43 , ( 594", -387" )
NOTE: PSP is orbiting in the same direction as solar rotation, but at
a faster rate.
