Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly decreased from the last message.
The target region, NOAA 14341 produced an M1.2 flare at 23:46 UT
yesterday(1/17) from the area of mixed polarity in the West vicinity
of the main sunspot. In addition, 2 C class flares were from this
region, while a C7.2 event at 06:01 UT today was from the East side
of the main sunspot. NOAA 14242 in the Northern hemisphere is another
source of flares in the past 24 to 48 hours, but these events are currently
at a low-C level.
Although NOAA 14341 is reducing the area (840 to 500 millionths), it
maintains flare activity of high-C to M class. Today, we will continue to
observe NOAA 14341, at the West side of the main spots.

at 17:00 UT is: S09E20 (-333", -86").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to a moderate level since the last
message. Yesterday's target, NOAA 14343 produced 5 C class flares
after the message, with the largest being a C5.2 at 22:58 UT
yesterday (1/16). However it has been flare-quiet during the recent
12 hours, although it maintains clear sigmoidal loops.
The largest event in the past 24 hours was an M2.2 flare at 10:19 UT
today produced by NOAA 14341 from its Northwest area. NOAA 14341
has reached the size of 840 millionths, and added magnetic complexity
to a beta-gamma-delta type. There is an area of mixed polarity in the
West vicinity of the main largest sunspot, that repeats brightenings
including a few C class flares by itself and the ones associated with
the flares reported from the closely adjacent region NOAA 14345.
In the next 24 hours, the target region will switch back to NOAA
14341 at the area of mixed polarity in the West of the main sunspot.
Additional C to M class flares are expected.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has declined to a low level since the last message.
The largest event in the period was a C6.6 flare at 08:47 UT today
(1/16) produced by NOAA 14345, which emerged in the Southeast of
the target region, NOAA 14341. NOAA 14341 has been flare-quiet
in the past 24 hours.
NOAA 14343 is the region that emerged two days ago at the latitude
of 10 degrees South, and is growing rapidly in size to over 100
millionths with magnetic configuration of a beta-gamma type. This
region has only produced a C1.3 flare so far, but the loops are
showing a solid sigmoidal shape in high temperature EUV wavelengths.
Today, we will switch the target to NOAA 14343 expecting the
increasing activity of C class or larger.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has further increased to a moderate level since the
last message. The largest event in the period was an M1.6 flare at
20:10 UT yesterday (1/14) produced by the target region, which was
registered as NOAA 14341. This region also produced a C9.8 flare
at 6:20 UT today and 3 more low-C class flares in the past 24 hours.
NOAA 14341 underwent new flux emergence in the Southwestern
vicinity of the main sunspot area with negative polarity, which appears
to be the source of recent flares from this region. Today, we will
continue to observe NOAA 14341 at the Southwest side of the main
negative sunspots, expecting additional C to M class events.

17:00 UT is: S11E61 (-837", -165").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message, but
still at a low level. The largest event was a C9.6 flare at 3:34 UT
today(1/14) from the region being rotated from the Northeast limb.
This region is connected with the target region in the Southern
hemisphere through the trans-equatorial loops, and is producing
a few low-C class flares after the C9.6 envent.
The target region has completed the Southeast limb passage and its
sunspots have come into earth's view. Although it is still too close
to the limb to figure out the size and magnetic configuration, it
appears to be formed by multiple spots with the total area being larger
than that of NOAA 14336. Currently this region and the region from
the Northeastern limb, both of which are yet unnumbered, are
alternatively producing C class flares.
Today, we will continue to observe the target region from the
Southeast limb, since the main body of the Northeast region appears
to be still behind the limb. Additional C class events are expected
from both regions.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been very low since the last message. The largest
event was a C2.0 flare at 9:13 UT today(1/13) from the the Southeast
limb region that produced an M3.4 flare on 1/11. The sunspots of
this region are still behind the limb, but high loop system including
the trans-equatorial loops connected to the Northern hemisphere is
visible in the EUV wavelengths. Several high-B to low-C flares were
reported from this region, while the regions on the disk only produced
a C1.5 flare (by NOAA 14336) in the past 24 hours. Today, we will
continue to observe the Southeast limb region expecting additional
C class activities or larger.

is: S11E86 (-953", -191").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity from the earth-facing side has been very low.
The largest event was a C5.2 flare from NOAA 14336 at 12:42 UT
today(1/12). However, an M3.4 flare was reported from the region
behind the Southeast limb at 21:53 UT yesterday. This flare
developed post flare arcades and a cusp at the latitude range of
South 10 to 15 degrees for several hours after the flare.
Although the sunspots associated with this event are still located
behind the limb, we will observe this region as the default target
today, expecting additional flares of C to M class.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has remained at a low level. NOAA 14337
produced the largest event, a C3.8 flare at 20:24 UT, and
four low-C plus high-B flares. It has been classified as a
beta/C-type sunspot group as it transited beyond the northwest
limb. Today, the target will switch to 14337. Yesterday’s target
only produced a ~C2 flare. More low-C flares are probable in
the next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has returned to a low level. The largest event
since the last message was a partially occulted C1.3 flare at
22:30 UT yesterday produced by NOAA 14323, which has
completely rotated beyond the southwest limb. NOAA 14339
was a newly-emerged active region, being classified as a
beta/B-type sunspot group. It produced the two ~C1 and a ~B7
flares. To the northeast of 14339, NOAA 14336 (S10E08,
beta-delta/E-type) also produced a C1 flare. 14339 (with 14336
in the field of view) becomes the new target. More low-C flares
are possible in the following 24 hours.

Solar activity has increased slightly in the last 24 hours.
The largest event was a long duration C5.6 flare at 16:18
UT yesterday produced by the target region NOAA 14334.
It also produced a ~C3 flare and has been classified as a
beta/D-type magnetic configuration. Today the target shall
continue as 14334. In addition, NOAA 14336 has retained
a beta-gamma-delta/E-type sunspot group with an increase
in its spot area, but only produced several low-C flares for
several days, . Additional C-class flares are expected in the
following 24 hours.
