The level of solar activity is very low. Target region NOAA 12680
has grown very slightly in sunspot area, but remains classified
as an alpha/H-type sunspot group. This region again produced the
largest flare of the period - a C1.5 on 12-Sep-2017 at 19:03 UT.
More low C-class activity is possible in the next 24 hours.

Solar activity has returned to a low level. Yesterday's target NOAA
12674 has now rotated over the North West limb, so the target will
switch to NOAA 12680. This region is classified as an alpha/H-type
sunspot group, but produced a C3.0 flare on 12-Sep-2017 at 07:22 UT.
Further C-class flares are possible in the following 24-hour period.

12673 produced an X8.2 flare on 10-Sep-2017 at 15:35 UT, but it has now
rotated over the SW limb. The most complex region on disk is NOAA 12674,
which is now approaching the NW limb. C-class activity is possible over
the next 24 hours.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at moderate levels. The target region
NOAA 12673 was the source of two low M-class flares, an
M3.7 at 10:50 UT and an M1.2 at 22:04 UT on September 9.
12673 continues to decay though remaining a D-type/beta-
gamma-delta configuration. It is almost rotating over the western
limb. At this time a major flare is unlikely and we are ending
the Major Flare Watch campaign. C-class activities are expected
with a chance of an isolated low M-class event in the next 24 hours.

The Major Flare Watch region NOAA 12673 was the source
of three low M-class flares (the largest one being an M2.9 at
15:09 UT on September 8) and numerous low C-class events
in the past 24 hours. 12673 has been classified as a D-type/
beta-gamma-delta configuration. It begins to decay slowly as
rotating over the western limb. We will continue the Major Flare
Watch for a last 24 hours with a slight chance of an isolated
major flare.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at high levels. The largest event since
the last message was an X1.3 at 14:20 UT on September 7
produced by the Major Flare Watch Region NOAA 12673. 12673
also produced 5 M-class flares (including an M7.3 and an M8.1)
and numerous C-class events. Some (maybe three) of the flares
were also associated with CMEs (seems to be non-Earth-directed).
12673 remains its beta-gamma-delta/E-type magnetic classification.
It continues showing emergence of opposite flux in its leading and
trailing portions. Further major (>M5) flares are possible in the next
few days.

The Major Flare Watch region NOAA 12673 produced an X9.3
flare at 11:53 UT on September 6, which was associated with an
Earth-directed CME. This X-ray event is the largest one in this
solar cycle (as of now; also the largest one since 2005). 12673
also produced three low M-class events. It has been classified
as a complex E-type/beta-gamma-delta configuration with still
increasing sunspot area (960 uh now). We will continue the Major
Flare Watch as the region still has the potential to produce additional
>M5 flares in the next few days.

The Major Flare Watch region NOAA 12673 was the source of
an X2 flare, which is happening right now (peaking at ~9:10 UT).
12673 also produced a few C-class flares as well as an M2.3
yesterday. It retains its beta-gamma-delta/D-type classification,
but still increases in sunspot area and number of sunspots. Its
magnetic inversion line is highly sheared. Additional major flares
are possible in the next few days.

Solar activity has been at high levels for the past 24 hours.
The target region NOAA 12673 produced 9 M-class flares
(the largest one being a major M5.5 at 20:28 UT on September 4)
since the last message. Two of them were associated with halo
or Earth-directed CMEs. 12673 has a complex beta-gamma-delta
configuration, increasing in sunspot area (now 680 uh) and number
of spots significantly. It developed rapidly and continues to grow. At
this time we are implementing a Major Flare Watch campaign. Another
major (>M5) event is likely within the next 24 hours.

The largest event since the last message was an M1.2 at 05:36 UT on
September 4 produced by NOAA 12673. 12673 also produced three C1
flares. Today we will switch the target to 12673 which has been classified
as a beta-gamma/D-type configuration. Yesterday's target NOAA 12674
(N14E08) has decayed to a beta/F-type region and only produced a B5.9
and a C1.1 events in the past 24 hours. Further C-class activities are
expected from 12674 and 12673, with a chance of another low M-class
event from 12673.
