Solar activity remains at very low levels. The target region NOAA
12685 was the source of a B2 flare around 00:00 UT today. The region
maintains its alpha/H-type configuration, and is partly encompassed by
a long filament channel. Only isolated low-level events possible over
the next 24 hours.

Solar activity has returned to low levels. NOAA 12685 retains its
compact alpha/H-type classification, and has remained quiescent since
producing the M1 flare two days ago. The only flare of note was a B2.2
event at 12:08 UT yesterday. We are ending the Major flare Watch
campaign at this time, with only low-level events expected over the
next 24 hours.

The level of solar activity is low-to-moderate. The target region has
been designated as NOAA 12685. This region has a surprisingly simple
magnetic configuration, classified as an alpha/H-type sunspot group.
NOAA 12685 has produced no flaring activity since the M1.1 event on
20-Oct-2017 at 23:10 UT. The MM#003 Major Flare Watch will remain in
place for the following 24 hours. C-class flares are probable with a
chance for another M-class flare.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate-to-high. The target region has
rotated its leading spot over the South East limb and produced an M1.1
flare on 20-Oct-2017 at 23:10 UT. This partially limb-occulted event is
from the region previously designated as NOAA 12682 and 12673 that was
the source of significant flare activity on its last two disk passages.
As a result, we are initiating a MM#003 Major Flare Watch (MFW) at this
time. C-class flares are expected over the next 24 hours, with a good
chance for further M-class activity.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a very low level. High-lying loops of the target
region are still only visible above the SE limb. This is likely to be
the return of the region previously numbered as NOAA 12682 (also NOAA
12673) that is approximately 10 degrees behind the limb. This region
produced the only flare since the last message, a B2.4 on 18-Oct-2017
at 08:18 UT that would have been significantly higher magnitude if it
weren’t for occultation by the limb. B-class flares are possible over
the following 24-hour period.
