MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Spotless region NOAA 2521 (N18W85) was the source of
a pair of C-class events since the last message. The largest
was a C3.7 at 03/20/01:33 UT. Target region NOAA 2524
is maintaining its E-type/beta sunspot group but has developed
a few tiny opposite polarity sunspot pores near the large trailing
sunspot. B-class events probable with a slight chance of an
isolated C-class event in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 2524 on March 20 at 12:45 UT is:
N15E30 (Solar X = -467", Solar Y = 347")

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity continues at a very low level. The
current background x-ray flux is B1.4. The largest event
since the last message was a B6.7 at 03/18/23:18 UT
produced by target region NOAA 2524. 2524 has
decayed somewhat in sunspot area and sunspot count.
B-class events possible with a slight chance of an isolated
C-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2524 on March 19 at 12:45 UT is:

background x-ray flux is currently B1.7. Target region
NOAA 2524 is mostly unchanged and mostly quiescent
producing only one minor B-class event since the
last message. Another B-class event probable with a slight
chance of a C-class event in the next 24 hour period.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity was very low for the past 24 hours.
The current background x-ray flux is at the B1.7 level.
The largest event since the last message was a minor B4.3
produced by target region NOAA 2519. The reversed polarity
EFR located adjacent to the large leader sunspot has
significantly decayed in the past 24 hours. The target
will switch to the large E-type/beta region located in
the northeastern quadrant. B-class events probable with
the chance of an isolated C-class event in the next 24 hour
period.
The position of NOAA 2524 on March 17 at 15:30 UT is:

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2521 has decayed significantly after
producing a few B-class events. An eruptive filament located
just beyond the northwestern limb near the location of NOAA
2522 was associated with a C2.2 event at 03/16/06:46 UT. The
target will switch to NOAA 2519. 2519 is displaying a small
reversed polarity EFR located adjacent to the southern edge
of the large round leader sunspot in region 2519. C-class
activity is possible If the EFR continues to develop,

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The target EFR failed to continue in growth phase and
was mostly quiescent producing only minor B-class
events. The target will switch back to NOAA 2521.
2521 has decayed in sunspot area but retains mixed
polarities in the trailing plage portion. 2521 was the
source of two C-class events since the last message.
The largest was a C1.2 at 03/15/09:29 UT. B-class events
possible with a slight chance of another C-class event in
the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 2521 on March 15 at 15:30 UT is:
N19W18 (Solar X = 282", Solar Y = 421")

developing EFR located in the northwestern quadrant.
The EFR has an east-west magnetic inversion line and bright
H-alpha plage. B-class events probable with the chance of
a C-class event if the region continues to develop.

x-ray flux is flat at B1.4. The EFR target region (now numbered
NOAA 2521) has now stabilized displaying a D-type sunspot group
with a very weak beta-gamma magnetic configuration. B-class
events possible with only a slight chance of a C-class event in the
next 24 hours.

Target region NOAA 2519 is mostly unchanged in the past
24 hours. It was the source of a minor B8.8 event at
03/12/04:05 UT. The largest event since the last message
was a C1.1 event at 03/12/06:19 UT produced by NOAA
2513. The target will switch to an EFR located in the northeastern
quadrant. The EFR is displaying arch-type-filaments and
dynamic bright H-alpha plage. If it continues to develop, it might
produce a C-class event in the next 24 hour period.
