Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a moderate level. Target region NOAA 13229
grew slightly since the last message and was reclassified as a
beta-delta/E-type sunspot group. This region has produced four
C-class flares in the period, the largest being a C5.5 flare on
20-Feb-2023 at 17:37 UT. A new spot region is in the process of
rotating over the North East limb and has already produced four
C-class flares and the largest magnitude flare of the period -
a foot-point occulted M4.4 on 20-Feb-2023 at 14:47 UT (therefore
of actually larger peak magnitude). The MM#003 Major Flare Watch
will remain in effect, but the target switches to this currently
unnumbered region at the North East limb. More C-class activity
is expected over the next 24 hours, with a good chance for
M-class flares.

The level of solar activity is low. Target region NOAA 13229 was
reclassified as a beta-delta/D-type sunspot group since the last
message. This region only produced a C2.7 flare on 19-Feb-2023
at 14:50 UT. The MM#003 Major Flare Watch will remain in effect
on NOAA 13229 for a further 24 hours. Further C-class flares are
expected in the following 24-hour period, with a chance for an
M-class flare.

source of an X2.2 flare on 17-Feb-2023 at 19:38 UT. This region has
shown signs of minor growth and remains classified as a beta/D-type
sunspot group. At this point we commence an MM#003 Major Flare Watch
on NOAA 13229. C-class activity is expected over the next 24 hours,
with a chance for mid-to-high M-class flares.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low-to-moderate level. The high-lying loops of
target region NOAA 13213 have now rotated completely beyond view over
the North West limb. This region was the source of a final M1.0 flare
on 15-Feb-2023 at 21:05 UT. A a currently unnumbered region that is in
the process of rotating over the North East limb (possibly the return
of previous NOAA region 13201) produced the largest magnitude flare in
the period - an M1.1 on 16-Feb-2023 at 00:19 UT. The Major Flare Watch
now terminates and this North East limb region becomes the new target.
C-class flares are expected over the next 24 hours, with a chance for
more M-class activity.

The level of solar activity is low-to-moderate. Target NOAA 13213 has
now rotated over the North West limb. This region continued to be the
most flare-productive region since the last message, being the source
of several C-class and three low M-class flares, including the largest
magnitude flare in the period - an M2.0 on 15-Feb-2023 at 05:16 UT.
The Major Flare Watch will remain in effect for a final 24 hours on
the limb location where 13213 has exited the disk, as this region's
high-lying loops are still visible. More C-class flares are expected
in the following 24-hour period, with a chance for another M-class
flare.
The disk-exiting limb position of NOAA 13213 on 15-Feb-2023 at 19:30 UT is:

Solar activity is at a moderate level. Target region NOAA 13213 has
rotated up to the North West limb since the last message, remaining
classified as a beta-gamma/F-type sunspot group (noting that this is
compromised by foreshortening effects due to proximity to the limb).
This region produced several C-class flares and the largest flare in
the period - an M2.7 on 14-Feb-2023 at 11:59 UT. The current Major
Flare Watch target will remain on NOAA 13213 for at least a further
24 hours as it rotates over the North West limb. Additional C-class
flares are expected over the next 24 hours, with a good chance for
M-class activity.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity reached a high level in the past 24 hours. The largest
event since the last message was an X1.1 flare at 15:40 UT today
from NOAA 13217. 13217 was the most productive and also produced
5 low M-class flares. This region emerged new sunspots and has
been classified as a beta-gamma-delta/E-type configuration. Today
the Major Flare Watch region shall switch to NOAA 13217. In addition,
NOAA 13220 (S14E46, alpha/H-type) and NOAA 13222 (N29W84,
beta/D-type) also produced several low M-class flares. Further low
M-class flares are expected with a good chance for additional >=M5
flare in the next 24-48 hours.

Solar activity continues at moderate levels in the past 24 hours.
The largest event since the last message was an M2.2 flare at
07:59 UT today produced by a newly emerged region NOAA 13208
(N09W71, beta/C-type). 13208 also produced three C-class flares.
The target region NOAA 13213 increased in sunspot area and
number of spots and has been classified as a beta-gamma/F-type
configuration. This region produced three M1 (M1.2, M1.7, M1.6)
flares in the period. Today the Major Flare Watch region shall remain
NOAA 13213 for one more day. Please note that some other regions
(NOAA 13220, 13222) also produced several M1 flares. Further low
M-class flares are expected still with a chance of an above M5 flare
in the next 24-48 hours.

Solar activity remains at moderate levels for the past 24 hours.
The largest event since the last message was an M3.7 flare at
02:45 UT today produced by NOAA 13213. 13213 also produced
three ~M1 flares during the period. It retains a beta-delta/E-type
classification and is showing mixed polarities in its intermediate
portion. Today the Major Flare Watch region will switch back to
NOAA 13213. Yesterday’s target region NOAA 13217 (S10E56,
beta/D-type) was the source of an M1.4 flare and ten C-class events.
Further low M-class flares are expected, still with a chance of an
above M5 flare in the next 24-48 hours.
