Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has further reduced since the last message. A number of flares were produced, the largest being a partially occulted M3.0 from NOAA 13844 at 21:54 UT yesterday. NOAA 13848 has remained dormant and relatively stable since the last message despite being the largest and most complex region on the disk. The Major Flare Watch will be extended for what may be the final 24 hours with NOAA 13848 as the target region. Further C- and M-class activity is expected with a slight chance for an isolated >M5 event in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13848 on 11-October-2024 at 11:30 UT is:
N13W46, (675",146")
