Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be low but slightly increased since the last message. The largest event was a C3.8 flare at 00:20 UT today (4/24) from NOAA 14064, which produced 2 more low-C class flares. Other C class events were mainly from NOAA 14070, which increased both in size and magnetic complexity (to a beta-gamma type), and produced 7 low-C class flares. There was no report of flares from the target region, NOAA 14062 in the recent 24 hours.
NOAA 14064 is undergoing new flux emergence in the West vicinity of the trailing (negative) sunspot today. The EUV loops from this region frequently interact with a filament located at the Southeast of this region, and with a plage region around NOAA 14067. Today, we will switch our target to NOAA 14064, to observe the area of new flux emergence. Additional C class events are expected.
The position of the target in NOAA 14064 on 24-April-2025 at 15:30 UT is: N10W26 (420", 236").
