Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has returned to a high level since the last message. Just at 11:29 UT, an X1.2 flare was produced by NOAA 13947 (N10E66), a northeast region previously mentioned. This region also produced six C-class flares during the period. At this time, we are implementing the Major Flare Watch campaign on NOAA 13947. Besides, yesterday's target NOAA 13936 has fully rotated beyond the west limb, which also produced an M1.1 and two C-class flares in the period. Further C- and low M-class activities are expected, with a good chance of additional major flares (>M5) in the next few days.
The position of NOAA 13947 on 3-Jan-2025 at 08:30 UT is:
N10E66 (-878",191")
