Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at an extremely low level. The leading spot pair of NOAA 12641 has now been designated as a separate region, NOAA 12642. NOAA 12641 has decreased in spot area over the past 24 hours while it has gained penumbra to be classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group. The only flaring activity observed since the last message was a B1.2 on 2-Mar-2017 at 01:16 UT that originated from a small region that is rotating over the North East limb. Low B-class flares may be possible in the following 24-hour period.
The position of NOAA 12641 on 2-Mar-2017 at 22:00 UT is:
N14E07, ( -113", 351" )
