Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has remained at a low level since the last message. A small number of C-class flares were produced, the largest being a partially occulted C4.1 from NOAA 13583 at 22:59 UT yesterday. NOAA 13590 is now classified as a beta-type region with a substantial sunspot area of 530 μh. This region continues to demonstrate signs of significant flux as it furthers its transit onto the solar disk. NOAA 13590 will continue to be the target region for the next 24 hours. Further C-class activity is expected, with a slight chance for an isolated M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 13590 on 20-Feb-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
N18E54, (-748",364")
