MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The target region has now completed east limb passage. It is still too close to the limb to positively ascertain its magnetic complexity but it appears to have mixed polarities within its trailing portion. The region was the source of numerous limb occulted C-class events in the past 48 hours. Additional C-class events expected today with a slight chance of an isolated M-class in the next 24 hours.
The position of the target on January 18 at 11:45 UT is: S24E80 (Solar X = -878", Solar Y = -382")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
