Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low-to-moderate. Target region NOAA 13376 has now rotated over the North West limb, with only some of its highest-lying loops still visible. This region was the source of multiple mid-to-high C-class flares since the last message. The target will however switch to NOAA 13388 that rotated on disk over the South East limb in the last 48 hours. NOAA 13388 is classified as only a beta/C-type sunspot group, but was the source of an M1.7 flare on 28-Jul-2023 at 22:04 UT - the largest magnitude flare in the period. More C-class activity is expected over the following 24 hours, with a good chance for another low M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 13388 on 28-Jul-2023 at 11:00 UT is:
S23E56 , ( -723", -414" )
