Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly decreased since the last message. Several flares were produced, the largest being an M3.7 from NOAA 13796 at 21:41 UT yesterday. NOAA 13784 has remained relatively dormant as it continues its transit of the northwest limb. NOAA 13796 produced a number three low M-class flares since the last message. This region has shown interesting sunspot dynamism and notable emerging flux. NOAA 13796 is currently classified as a beta-gamma type region. The target region will now switch to NOAA 13796. Further C-class activity is likely, with a chance for additional M-class flares in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13796 on 20-August-2024 at 11:30 UT is:
S03E48, (-705",-125")
