MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
The visible solar disk is spotless, plageless, and except for a few faint prominences, nearly featureless. today's target will be a large, slightly active prominence located in the southern polar zone. Solar minimum conditions are expected to continue for the next 24 hour period.
The approximate position of the target on August 23 at 13:30 UT is: S38E83 (Solar X = -742", Solar Y = -591")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
