Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message. NOAA 13842 was the source of an X7.1 flare at 21:58 UT yesterday. This region continues to show dynamic sunspot activity and has increased in area to 300 μh. The Major Flare Watch will continue with NOAA 13842 as the target region. Further M-class activity is possible with a chance for an additional >M5 event in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 13842 on 2-October-2024 at 11:30 UT is:
S15E11, (-177",-352")
