MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
The target region's large leading sunspot is now visible near the northeastern limb. The intermediate and trailing sunspots are still beyond the limb. There were no noteworthy events in the past 24 hours. It appears that the region has decayed after the large flare event and CME on February 15-16. C-class events are still very possible with a chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hours.
The position of the target region on February 21 at 15:00 UT is: N15E78 (Solar X = -917", Solar Y = 273")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
