Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a moderate level. A number of flares were produced over the last 24 hours, the largest being an M7.7 from NOAA 13842 at 23:37 UT yesterday. NOAA 13842 remains classified as a beta-gamma-delta and has shown significantly elevated sunspot dynamism since the last message. This region also shows signs of significant flux. At this time we are initiating a Major Flare Watch with NOAA 13842 as the target region. Further C- and M-class activity is expected, with a chance for further isolated >M5 activity in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13842 on 1-October-2024 at 11:30 UT is:
S15E24, (-377",-346")
