Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has decreased to a high-to-moderate level since the last message. Yesterday's limb target region has been numbered as NOAA 13922 (S17E52) with a beta/C-type configuration. It produced a low C-class and two ~M2.0 flares in the period. NOAA 13920 (N22E17, beta/D-type) was the most flare-productive region on the disk, which produced fifteen C-class flares and the largest flare in the period - an M2.7 at 10:03 UT today (12/11). The Major Flare Watch will continue, with the target region now switching to NOAA 13920. Additionally, NOAA 13917 (S08W21) also produced three C-class flares in the period, with a beta-gamma/E-type configuration. Further low-M-class activity is expected, with a chance of an isolated ≥M5 flare from various regions in the next a few days.
The position of NOAA 13920 on December 11 at 12:30 UT is:
N22E17 (-265",373")
