Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. Yesterday's target NOAA 13697 has nearly rotated beyond the west limb. The largest event since the last message was a C4.4 flare at 12:53 UT today from a southeast limb region (S09E79, unnumbered yet). This region also produced a C2.5 flare in the period. Two nearby active regions, NOAA 13711 (S08E16, beta/D-type) and NOAA 13709 (S09E04, beta/D-type), also produced several low C-class flares in the period, but these two regions have shown a decay in the sunspot area. At this moment, we shall end the Major Flare Watch campaign and the target region will switch to the southeast limb region. C-class activities are expected in the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target region on 12-Jun-2024 15:30 UT is:
S09E79 (-916",-150")
