Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has decreased to a low level since the last message. The largest event in the period was a C5.4 flare at 10:38 UT today (11/17), produced by a southeast limb region (S09E89), which also produced another six C-class flares in the period. The target region shall switch to this limb region. Yesterday's target NOAA 13892 (S11W50, alpha/A-type) produced three low C-class flares in the period, while the nearby region NOAA 13889 (S09W64, beta-gamma -delta/F-type) produced a C4.5 flare during the decay phase of the C5.4 flare. Further C-class activity is expected, with a chance of low M-class flares in the following 24-48 hours.
The approximate position of the target on 17-Nov-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
S09E89, ( -958", -152" )
