Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has continued at a moderate level since the last message. The target region NOAA 13928 produced the largest flare - an M2.5 flare at 11:15 UT today. This region retains a beta/D-type sunspot group, with the emergence of new negative magnetic fluxes in its intermediate portion. 13928 shall remain as the target. In addition, NOAA 13924 (beta-gamma/E-type, S19W89) also produced an M2.1 flare at 07:20 UT today. Further C-class activity is expected, with a good chance for additional low-M flares in the following 24 hours.
The position of NOAA13928 on 20-Dec-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
S14E53 (-757", -220")
