MM#003 Major Flare Watch
Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2860 has decayed losing much of its magnetic complexity but it still remains a large E-type/beta-gamma region. 2860 was the source of seven B- and six C-class events in the past 24 hours. The largest event was a C2.9 at 08/29/17:30 UT. We will continue the MFW for at least one more day. C-class events expected with a slight chance of an isolated moderate M-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2860 on August 30 at 14:00 UT is: S27W33 (Solar X =463", Solar Y = -518")
