Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity remains moderate. NOAA region 11875 has grown in area and decreased in number of spots, while maintaining a beta-gamma-delta/E-type sunspot group class. Of the multiple delta spots present within NOAA 11875, the delta in the intermediate spot region strengthened the most (a result of the merging and maturing of previously existing spots). This region was the source of seven C-class flares since the last message, as well as an M4.2 flare on 22-Oct-2013 at 21:15 UT. Further C-class activity is expected in the next 24 hours, with a good chance for additional low M-class events and a minor chance of a >=M5.0 event if 11875 undergoes new magnetic flux emergence.
The position of NOAA 11875 on 23-Oct-2013 at 20:00 UT is:
N07W07, ( 119", 32" )
