Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate-to-high. Target NOAA 12860 has maintained number of spots and spot area, remaining classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group. NOAA 12860 has continued to produce multiple C-class flares since the last message, including a C7.4 flare and a C8.1 flare (the largest flare of the period) on 29-Aug-2021 at 00:24 UT and 09:54 UT respectively. Further C-class flares are expected in the following 24-hour period with the Major Flare Watch remaining in effect since NOAA 12860 has the potential for M-class activity.
The position of NOAA 12860 on 29-Aug-2021 at 15:00 UT is:
S29W18 , ( 257", -557" )
