Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar flare activity is low. NOAA 11142 has maintained a beta magnetic classification while growing in numbers of spots and decaying in area. This region remains bright in compact EUV-emitting loops as well as H-alpha and UV plage emission. B-class activity is expected, with a small chance for a C-class event if the region continues to fragment.
The position of NOAA 11142 on 5-Jan-2011 at 10:00 UT is:
S12W11, ( 175", -146" )
