Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a low level. The largest event since the last message was a C9.6 flare at 09/16/23:29 UT produced by the target region NOAA 13825. 13825 retains a beta-gamma/E-type configuration but increases the sunspot area and number of spots slightly. New magnetic flux is emerging again especially in the leading portion of sunspots. Today we will continue the Major Flare Watch campaign on this region for one more day. Low M-class activity is likely with some chance of a flare above M5 in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13825 on September 17 at 07:30 UT is:
S16E16 (-253", -372")
