Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at an intermediate level since the last message. The target region nearby the northeast limb has been numbered as NOAA 13536 with an alpha/H-type magnetic configuration. 13536 continued to be the most flare-productive region on the visible disk, being the source of several low-to-mid C-class flares as well as the largest magnitude event in the period - an M2.4 at 08:33 UT today. The Major Flare Watch shall remain in effect with NOAA 13536 as the target region. Additional low M-class flares are expected with a chance of another >M5 flare in the next few days.
The position of NOAA 13536 on 1-Jan-2024 at 08:30 UT is:
N05E70 (-914",102")
