Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13796 was confirmed as having grown in spot area since the last message, continuing to be classified as a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group. NOAA 13796 have remained the most flare-productive region on disk, being the source of two C-class flares and the only M-class flare in the period - an M1.1 on 27-Aug-2024 at 09:30 UT. The current MM#003 Major Flare Watch will continue on NOAA 13796 for the next 24 hours. C-class activity is expected over the following 24-hour period, with a strong chance for additional M-class flares.
The position of NOAA 13796 on 27-Aug-2024 at 19:30 UT is:
S04W52 , ( 748" , -138" )
