Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has grown to a moderate level since the last message. The largest event was "an M4.5 flare" at 11:12 UT from NOAAs 13932 (beta-gamma-delta/D-type, S17W30) and 13933 (beta-gamma/D-type, S07W55). The target region NOAA 13938 was a source of an M3.3 flare at 20:29 UT yesterday, although it was downgraded to a beta-gamma/D-type sunspot group. Today the Major Flare Watch will continue as NOAA 13938. More low-M activity is probable, with a chance for an isolated >M5 flare in the following 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13938 on 28-Dec-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
N19E18 (-286", 358")
