Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13192 decayed since since the last message, decreasing slightly in spot area and losing its internal mixing designation to be classified as a beta/F-type sunspot group. This region has produced several C-class flares in the period but NOAA 13190 produced the largest flares, including two M1.8 flares on 17-Jan-2023 at 23:16 UT and 18-Jan-2023 at 10:21 UT. This increase in activity by NOAA 13190 comes despite losing its delta-spot designation (now classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group). The target changes now to NOAA 13190. Further C-class activity is expected in the following 24-hour period, with a good chance for additional M-class flares.
The position of NOAA 13190 on 18-Jan-2023 at 14:30 UT is:
S14E12 , ( -198", -157" )
